Long Section
The curvilinear C is holding part of the structure, and the flying sticks is what are holding the upper floors. And the cure thats in between the C is what the Architectural stair is going to be. So what the stairs is going to do is wrap around the C and also puncture through it. Short Section
I think that the building has an "industrial" flair, which is suiting the neighbourhood. Keep up the good work.

Omar,
ReplyDeleteIt might be a good idea to hand sketch a couple of interior and exterior views of how you see the 'massing' so the same level of interaction between the planes and curves -or sweeps- can be understood as a defined (or as the case may be, free) form.
The sections are very interesting and the interlacing with the planes and free form core slabs has real potential, so considering the form with the same level of interest, as encompassed spaces, would be a way to read your spatial integrations of the interior spaces without resulting in the defacto rectangular shell -not that that would be a bad thing necessarily- it could be spectacular...but, especially given the potential to variegated spatial qualities your current sketches imply, it could be a very interesting direction to explore.
